How to Get a Fruitier Flavor in Your Cocktail Drinks

With the summer season right around the corner, many people are now experimenting with fruity cocktails in Vancouver. Here are some tips you should follow if you want to elevate the flavors of fruits in your cocktails in Vancouver BC

1.      Puree your fruits

To get the most flavors from fruits, puree them. You can use the puree or sift it and use the juice. It will lend so much flavor to the cocktail drink. Fruit purees also add an interesting texture to the drink.

2.      Go for ripe fruits

Ripe fruits taste so much better in liquor drinks. That is because they lend a natural sweetness to the drink. The riper it is, the more heightened its fruity flavors are. Just make sure you don’t use overly ripe ingredients as they can end up tasting and smelling too sweet.

3.      Infuse the fruits in the liquor

Rather than add the fruit in the cocktail drink, use a fruit-infused liquor to make cocktail drinks instead. Vodka is great for infusions. Cut up pieces of the fruit you want and then put the pieces in a jar. Pour vodka in the jar until the fruit pieces are covered. Let it sit there until the flavors of the fruits have married in the liquor.

4.      Fresh is best

Don’t substitute it with artificial juices. They just won’t taste the same. Go for fresh fruits instead.
The Alchemist has a lot of good cocktail recipes that make use of fruits. Go ahead and give these recipes a try.
